The deceased has been identified as Sujeet (20), a resident of the area. According to local authorities, the incident occurred approximately 500 meters from the Auras police station when continuous rainfall caused a tree along the roadside to uproot suddenly. Emergency responders and local residents rushed the victims to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Auras, where doctors declared Sujeet dead on arrival. Among the injured, a woman named Rinki suffered severe injuries and was referred to King George's Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow for advanced medical care. Another victim, Vishal, remains under treatment at a local hospital, while two others sustained minor injuries and received first aid. The fallen tree blocked traffic on the Sandila route for nearly an hour. Teams from the local police and the Nagar Panchayat arrived at the spot shortly after the incident, using cutters to remove the tree and clear the road for normal traffic flow. Local officials confirmed that an investigation into the matter is underway and administrative support is being coordinated for the family of the deceased.
