What Happened During Yatra in Yavatmal
Bali Maroti Talikote had come to participate in the pilgrimage organised on the occasion of Tanha Pola. She was seated in the Ferris Wheel when her hair suddenly became caught in the rotating bearing. As the ride continued to operate at speed, her hair was pulled forcefully into the mechanism. She suffered serious injuries to her head and scalp in the incident. The accident was noticed by people present at the yatra, who immediately raised an alarm and intervened.
Citizens Help Stop The Ride
After noticing the accident, citizens present at the procession helped stop the Ferris Wheel. The injured woman was taken out of the ride with the assistance of people at the site.
