Mumbai, November 26: Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' wife Amruta Fadnavis on Tuesday, November 26, thanked people of Maharashtra for letting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) serve for five years in the state. She also shared a two-liner and said that the "I will return" referring to the current political scenario in Maharashtra. Earlier today, Devendra Fadnavis resigned as Maharashtra CM ending a dramatic 80-hour stint in his second term. The BJP leader resigned shortly after the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar quit as Deputy Chief Minister.

The BJP, which won 105 seats, needed 40 MLAs to prove majority in the assembly. The saffron party banked on Ajit Pawar bring all NCP MLAs. However, the gamble didn't work and most of the MLAs with him returned back to Sharad Pawar.
