Ranchi, November 10: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday released the first list of 52 candidates for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly Elections. Chief Minister Raghubar Das will contest from the Jamshedpur (East) assembly constituency. BJP working president JP Nadda released the list. While addressing the media, Nadda said that the corruption in the state has been reduced under the leadership of Das. The voting for assembly elections in Jharkhand will start from November 30. The polling will take place in five phases on November 30, December 7, 12, 16 and 20. The term of the Jharkhand Assembly is ending on January 5, 2020. The Election Commission announced the polling schedule on November 1. The poll-conducting body has taken the decision to conduct Vidhan Sabha polls in five phases due to security reasons as 67 assembly constituencies of the state are affected by left-wing extremism.
