Raipur, November 10: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Amit Shah released the party manifesto in Chhattisgarh ahead of the assembly elections in the state. Shah, speaking at the manifesto conference, came down heavily on the Congress party for terming naxals as "revolutionaries", taking a dig at Congress leader Raj Babbar's recent comment on Naxals. The BJP President praised Raman Singh government for the "development" in the state. The first phase of voting in Chhattisgarh is on November 12, in the naxal hit areas. Shah, while releasing the party manifesto, recounted the achievements of the  BJP government in Chhattisgarh and credited the BJP government for the fight against the naxals in the state adding that the Raman Singh government has been successful in "containing Naxalism." Shah also said that Chhattisgarh was the first state to have a legislation on skill development and credited BJP government for taking the state of Chhattisgarh out of list of BIMARU states.

Launching a scathing attack on the Congress, the Prime Minister said the urban Maoists live in AC surroundings, move around in big cars and their children study abroad, but they ruin the lives of our poor Adivasi youth here through remote control. Modi asked as to why is Congress supporting these Urban Maoists. "People in Congress have been born with a silver spoon, how will they know the sentiments of Adivasi?", Modi said.
