Jagatsinghpur is one of the key Lok Sabha constituencies of Odisha. The voting for the parliamentary polls 2019 on this seat will take place in the fourth phase on April 29. In 2014 election, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) candidate Kulamani Samal defeated Congress candidate Bibhu Prasad Tarai by a margin of 2,76,394 votes. While, BJP candidate Baidhar Mallik came at the third spot. In 2009, BJD's Kulamani Samal had won the seat.
