Mumbai, March 14: With the dates for Lok Sabha elections were announced by the Election Commission on Sunday, Nationalist Congress Party on Thursday announced the first list of 12 candidates for the upcoming polls. The NCP is contesting this Lok Sabha polls in alliance with the Congress party.

According to the information, NCP’s Supriya Sule would be contesting from Baramati, while Sanjay Dina Patil would contest from Mumbai North East. Among other prominent leaders contesting the election include Anand Paranjpe from Thane, Sunil Tatkare from Raigad and Mohammad Faisal from Lakshwadeep. Maharashtra Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Dates: Constituency-Wise Complete Schedule Of Voting And Results For General Elections. 

Among other leaders that have been given prominence in the first list of candidates are – Udayanraje Bhosale from Satara, Dhananjay Mahadik from Kolhapur, Dr Rajendra Shingane from Buldhana, Gulabrao Deokar from Jalgaon, Rajesh Vitekar from Parbhani and Babji Balaram Patil from Kalyan.

After the end of two-day ultimatum to Congress and NCP, Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana’s (SSS) Raju Shetty had been given the Hatkanangale seat to contest. However, there are reports that SSS might get few more seats in the coming days as both the NCP and Congress are likely to announce their next list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections on Friday.
