New Delhi, March 11: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday announced the dates for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The voting in 543 Lok Sabha constituencies will take place in seven phases between April 11 to May 19. The results will be declared by the ECI on May 23. With the announcement of the schedule, the Model of Conduct has come into place with immediate effect. Voting for the Lok Sabha Polls will take place on both Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) as well as VVPAT machines at all polling booths.  Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Phase I: List of States And Constituencies Voting On April 11.

In Phase VII, voting will take place for 59 Lok Sabha constituencies in seven states. Voting for this phase will take place on May 19. Over 1.5 crore electors in 18-19 year age group will be eligible to vote for the first time in the seven-phased Lok Sabha elections. The polls will be held in 1,035,918 polling stations across the country compared to 928,000 set up during the last Lok Sabha election in 2014. Along with Lok Sabha Elections, voting will also take place in this phase for Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Odisha Assembly Elections 2019.
