After complaints to the Election Commission (EC), the chief electoral officer of Delhi had sent a notice to the BJP for “airing election-related content” on the NaMo TV even after the silence period began.
The Election Commission of India (EC) had sought clarification from the Ministry of Information and Broadcast (I&B) ministry. In its reply, the ministry said that NaMo TV was an advertisement based platform promoted by the BJP. The NaMo TV was then directed to broadcast only recorded events and speeches of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
