Mumbai, May 31: Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Pandurang Pundalik Fundkar died in the wee hours of Thursday. Reports claim that the veteran BJP leader breathed his last at Breach Candy Hospital of Mumbai, after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was inducted in Devendra Fadnavis ministry in July 2016. Fundkar hails from Buldhana and was a member of the parliamentary seat from Akola constituency.
Fudkar born in 1950 was 67 years old. He was one of the senior leaders of BJP and was first elected from Khamgaon, Vidhan Sabha constituency in 1978 and 1980. Fudkar was also the former Maharashtra state BJP president, during his regime he helped the party to expand in Buldhana division.
Pandurang Pundalik Fundkar alias Bhausaheb Fundkar also held the role of leader of opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council.
