Patna, May 12: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Supremo and Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav will be welcoming his one time political partner turned rival Nitish Kumar and BJP's Sushil Kumar Modi at his elder son Tej Pratap Yadav's wedding. Nitish Kumar and Sushil Modi are Bihars's Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister respectively. The marriage function of Tej Pratap Yadav is at Patna's veterinary college hall. He is getting married to RJD leader Chandrika Rai's daughter, Aishwarya Rai. Aishwarya is also the grand daughter of former Bihar CM Daroga Rai. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited and Congress President Rahul Gandhi and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi is expected to attend the wedding too.

The high profile wedding, which according to reports is set to see over 10,000 guests (an estimate given by RJD leaders), has been the talk of the town as speculations over Lalu Yadav's parole heightened as the marriage date approached. Lalu was finally granted a 3 day parole which got extended to 6 weeks just a day before marriage. Earlier, the RJD chief had applied for a 5 day parole but had been granted a 3 day parole only to attend his son's wedding. Naturally, the family is more than happy to have him back among them, even if temporarily.

Lalu Yadav is currently serving jail term in Birsa Munda Jail after he was convicted in the fodder scam case. The news that Bihar CM and Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar and his deputy (BJP's) Sushil Kumar Modi will be attending Lalu Yadav' son's marriage ceremony seems a bit odd considering that the JD(U) leader had broken ties with the RJD when both the parties had formed a government in Bihar. Nitish Kumar then joined hands with BJP and returned back to NDA.

Sushil Modi has been at the forefront of criticizing Lalu and his family member and also leveled serious allegations of corruption against them. There has been a constant war of words between him and RJD leader and Lalu's second son Tejasvee Yadav, who was the deputy CM when Nitish and Lalu were together.

However, the political rivals have decided to keep differences apart when it comes to important family functions. Prominent leaders from various political parties and other fields are expected to attend the wedding. The guest list has names of who's who of the film, sports and of course, political fraternity, if RJD leaders are to be believed. The clouds of uncertainty may loom large of Lalu Prasad Yadav's future, but presently it is time for him and his family to celebrate.
