Abdul Kalam died while delivering what he loves to. On July 27, 2015, Kalam travelled to Shillong to give a lecture on ‘Creating a Liveable Planet Earth’ at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). Only five minutes into his speech, he collapsed. Despite being kept in the intensive care unit, Kalam was confirmed dead of a sudden cardiac arrest. He was a global figure.
