Who Will Be The Next Pope?

The last entry in the prophecy refers to a pope identified as ‘Peter the Roman’, who is said to preside over the Church during a period of great tribulation and the destruction of Rome. This ominous description has led to various interpretations, with some viewing it as a literal prediction of a pope named Peter, while others see it as symbolic, representing a pope who will lead the Church through its most challenging period.

End Of The World In 2027?

The final entry says the last pope will be: "Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End." So, if the scholars are to be believed, the timeline ends in 2027, 442 years after its midpoint Pope in 1585, making the final judgment just two years away. 

The idea of a 'Last Pope' presiding over a period of great tribulation resonates with certain apocalyptic narratives found in Christian eschatology. These themes of persecution and renewal are prevalent in biblical prophecies such as those found in the Book of Revelation.
