The machine is currently installed at Sahakar Nagar in Pune. A user has to insert a special card and they will get modaks, nicely packed in a small box. Although these are not the common ukadiche modak, made of rice and jaggery dumpling but the sweets offered as prasad. These modak sweets are just as popular and Kulkarni has found a good technology.

Needless to say, people are loving this idea. For someone who doesn't prefer buying the entire box of sweet modaks these single modaks fulfil the need. Talking about his invention Kulkarni was quoted to ANI, "It is ATM- Any Time Modak. You will get a modak through this ATM by inserting a special card. It was an attempt to move forward with technology and culture together." There is a Lord Ganesha idol atop the machine and a slot to swipe the special card.
