What was supposed to be a solo run through rural Odisha turned into a frightening experience for a British content creator after she alleged that a man followed her on a bicycle and continued trailing her into an isolated area. The traveller, who posts online as Amy On The Move, documented the incident in a video that has since spread across social media.

How Did The Incident Unfold?

According to her account, she was out jogging when she noticed a man following her. She eventually reached what appeared to be an abandoned or deserted location and realised that she was alone with the man still behind her. Feeling unsafe, the creator began recording and contacted a friend over a video call so someone would be aware of what was happening. Foreign Tourist Molested in Jaipur Video: Auto-Rickshaw Driver Stalks, Touches Woman Traveller Inappropriately, Arrested After Clip Goes Viral.

In the footage, she can be heard describing her fear and frustration. "Not a great start in this town. That guy is following me, I'm honestly kind of over India, I think I am just gonna leave, this guy is making me so nervous," she said during the video call. She was also heard confronting the man directly, saying, "Go away, leave me alone."

The video appears to show the man riding a bicycle behind her as she continues moving through the area. The situation reportedly became more alarming when she found herself in a secluded stretch with the man still following her. England Tourist Molested in Jaipur Viral Video: Eve-Teaser Who Teased Foreign Woman in Rajasthan Is Teacher, Arrested.

Creator Shares Video, Says She May Leave India

Sharing the clip online, the creator wrote, "On a run in rural India, I got stalked by a guy on a bike, then trapped in an abandoned area. I probably only escaped because I called a friend and made it obvious the guy was on video. Honestly I'm pretty tired of India already and I'm probably going to leave."

The footage prompted a wave of reactions online, with many users condemning the alleged behaviour of the man. Others, however, advised solo travellers to exercise greater caution while visiting isolated or unfamiliar locations, particularly in rural areas.

Traveller Reconsiders Planned Cycling Trip Across India

Speaking to Hindustan Times, she said she had been travelling around the country for nearly two weeks when the alleged incident took place in Odisha. She explained that she had planned a longer cycling trip across India, starting in Kolkata, travelling towards Kerala and then heading up the western coast. However, she said the alleged incident had made her question whether it was safe to undertake the journey alone.

When asked whether she had reported the incident to the authorities, the content creator said she had not, alleging that she did not believe the police would take action. She also cited instances of people littering in front of police officers as an example of what she described as a lack of enforcement.

The video has since triggered a wider discussion online about safety for solo travellers, especially those exploring unfamiliar and less-populated areas.
