At a time when we read all negative stories of crime and atrocities around the world, it is a valid question whether humanity exists. But in all those grim and gruesome stories, here is something that will bring a smile to your face. A tech innovator in Lucknow customised a drone to rescue a puppy who he saw drowning in a drain. Milind Raj, was out on his morning walk when he heard a puppy whimpering nearby. He tried to locate the sound but could not figure out where it was coming from. He finally saw the pup stuck deep in a drain. He called out for help, but no one came around. Raj then took it upon himself to rescue the little one. He customised a drone-like machine to fetch the puppy out.

Raj used his technical expertise and made a robotic claw, one that could be attached to a drone. He created the drone himself, and it took him about 6 hours to make this device. He took extreme care while he made the device so that it will not hurt the puppy while taking him out. His structure weighed around 8 kgs and had neck support. “I also ensured that while lifting there would be an absolute comfort for the puppy,” he said to Indian Express. He used the drone with the claw to catch the puppy and get it out.

Raj after rescuing the pup also took care of it. Although he was happy to save the little one, he said that the puppy vomited twice and it was all the plastic that was consumed while he fell in. “The puppy vomited plastic packets, pan masala packets and black-coloured water both the times,” he said. The animal could not eat anything for a few days, but Raj ensured he takes proper care. In fact, he has now adopted the pup and named him Lifted. Not every day do we come across such kind humans who go out of their way to help the animals in need. Milind Raj is an excellent example of residing humanity around us.
