New Delhi, May 10: Hours after the United States of America-based TIME Magazine featured Prime Minister Narendra Modi on its cover and called him 'divider in chief', social media went to gaga over the issue and started a hashtag '#BoycottTIMEMagazine', protesting against the same.

With the American magazine accusing PM Modi government of propagating the Hindutva politics and leading to the polarization in the country, netizens in India and abroad demanded the Time magazine to be boycotted. Earlier, TIME Magazine had posted a lead image of PM Narendra Modi on their cover and had carried an article, "Can the World's Largest Democracy Endure Another Five Years of a Modi Government?” Adding more, the opening lines of the article read, “Of the great democracies to fall to populism, India was the first.”
