The 83-Year-Old Lingerie Model with a Powerful Message About Ageing, Watch Video

“Age is not a number, it’s an attitude,” says Dorrie – world’s oldest lingerie model – in an exclusive interview with BBC. She says that she has decided to become a lingerie model at her age to inspire women and to show them that women in their 80’s can still be sexy. Dorrie has set up an Instagram page called the Senior Style Bible to combat ageism. Below is the video footage of her exclusive interview produced by BBC.

Dorrie is setting new standards for women who think certain things can be done or achieved only at a certain age. Defying all odds, Dorrie is one of the most top fashion influencers over 60 in the world. Her Instagram page is a proof of that. She is slaying in the pictures and can even put some young actresses to shame.

Dorrie Promoting Body Positivity & Age Diversity in Fashion

This is part of a new lingerie series that I’m doing to promote body positivity and age diversity in fashion. I may be 83, but I still love lingerie. I am not giving into wearing old lady “granny panties.” As an older woman, I wear sexy lingerie because it makes me feel beautiful and I think I project that to the world. I decided to bare my imperfect, 80-something body because I think it’s important for women of all ages to know that “sexy” isn’t something that just suddenly expires. Being Beautiful Doesn’t Mean You Need to be Perfect

Her advice to all the women out there is to stop being age-appropriate and asking them to start taking risks. Of course, nobody likes to grow old, and Dorrie feels the same. But her motto is and she says, “Just because you’re retiring from your job, doesn’t mean you’re retiring from life.” The 83-year-old used to be a Playboy bunny.
