The God of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar descended on the streets of Mumbai recently and we aam aadmi cannot control our excitement. Yes, Indian batting maestro indeed captured on camera playing gully cricket in the lanes of Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) with metro workers! The video that has since gone viral on the social media and messaging services shows Sachin Tendulkar enjoying a game of cricket just like old days. The 44-year-old has still not touch his magical touch as he hit the ball clean with his new ‘opponents’ in awe of the master blaster!

Mumbai is called the land of stars and celebrities. Be it Bollywood actors and actresses, cricketers or other well-known faces from other fields, it is not unusual to spot them in the city. But when the star spotted is none other than Sachin Tendulkar, the hype and excitement is bound to touch the sky. This is exactly what happened with a bunch of metro workers who were extremely fortunate to play with none other than Sachin Tendulkar!

Dressed casually in white shirt and blue denims, Sachin got down his swanky car and met the metro workers who were playing cricket. Speaking in Marathi, they touched Sachin's feet as the most down-to-earth cricketer greeted and shook hands with them. After this he is seen batting with construction barricade serving as the stumps in the impromptu gully cricket.

The viewers can see a man standing behind barricade and ‘keeping wickets’ as the bowler (not seen in the video) bowls delivery to Tendulkar who hits it straight in bowler’s direction. After watching Sachin bat in the video, you cannot help feeling nostalgic about the good old days before the star cricketer’s retirement in 2013.

Former Indian skipper not only batted with his fans but also clicked selfie with them during his late-night adventure. The enthusiastic fans were unable to believe their luck to see Sachin Tendulkar right in front of them playing cricket and taking selfies. Well, it is indeed a dream come true for his die-hard fans as the cricket made their moments special. As for many officegoers who travel to BKC daily, my heart goes out to you for missing out on seeing Tendulkar play gully cricket live!

Sachin Tendulkar who bid adieu to international cricket in 2013 is presently a part of Mumbai Indians’ staff. He remains IPL team’s star attraction as he is seen supporting the side from dugout. His presence in the team adds to confidence of the side led by captain Rohit Sharma and coached by Mahela Jayawardene of Sri Lanka. But honestly, we want to see him bat once again.
