United States President Donald Trump met North Korea leader Kim Jong Un in a historic meet in Singapore's Capella Hotel in Sentosa Island on Tuesday. The meeting being the first of its kind was a historic one that happened after much talks and deliberations. However, not everyone seems to know where Singapore is. Google search trends show a tremendous spike in 'Where is Singapore?'. Other phrases that people are looking for is 'world map with Singapore highlighted', 'where is the nuclear summit' among others. Other searched phrases include 'where is Singapore in Asia','where is Singapore in the world',Ā 'what did Trump and Kim Jong Un sign?'.

Among the other top searched keywords are 'Marina Bay Sands Hotel' which is one of the most luxurious hotels in Singapore. There were also specific searches related to the leaders including 'how tall is Kim Jong Un', Donald Trump height in feet', 'how tall is Kim Jong-un'. There also shows an increase in searches for 'Singapore' the day the summit was announced.

Following the meeting, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Tuesday said he is willing to work in close cooperation with Trump. He said it will be challenging, but he's willing to do it. The world leaders also shared a long handshake when posing for photographs.

There were also reports that the US State Department seems that Singapore is still part of Malaysia. In posting the transcript of a press briefing that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo gave on Monday, the venue was described as "JW Marriott, Singapore, Malaysia" on the department's official website. Singapore is currently in global light as the country was chosen for the historic meeting.
