Bollywood actress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Kangana Ranaut, has recently made an ambitious statement about building a Hindu nation during a recent public meeting.
Kangana Ranaut, the actor-turned-politician, repeated her earlier claim that India became an independent nation in 2014. During a public meeting, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Mandi said, "Hamare purvajo ne Mughlo ki gulaami dekhi uske baad Angrezo ki gulaami dekhi aur fir Congress ka shasan dekha. Lekin 2014 me hame sahi mayane me azadi mili hai, swatantrata mili hai." Targeting Congress, she asked why India was not declared a Hindu nation at the time of independence. She added that we will work towards making the country a Hindu nation.
