Desai, 57, worked as an art director in several big-budget films such as Devdas, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Jodhaa Akbar, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai, and Panipat, among others.
The last rites of art director Nitin Chandrakant Desai was performed on August 4. The National Award winning art director was found dead in his studio in Maharashtra’s Raigad district on August 2. Many celebs attended his funeral including Aamir Khan who had worked with Desai in the 2001 Oscar nominated film Lagaan.
