In the ongoing legal proceedings concerning the rape allegations against Siddique, the Supreme Court of India has granted him interim protection from arrest, as reported by Live Law. On September 24, the Kerala High Court denied the Malayalam actorβs request for anticipatory bail, indicating that the evidence suggested his potential involvement in the alleged crime. In response to this ruling, Siddique filed a Special Leave Petition to challenge the Kerala HCβs decision. As of September 30, the Supreme Court has granted him interim protection from arrest while the case unfolds. The allegations against Siddique arise from a claim made by a young actress who says he raped her at a hotel in Thiruvananthapuram in 2016.
