On the occasion of Harela festival, Forest Department organised a tree plantation program. Harela is a festival of greenery and is celebrated in the month of Shravan to worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
Pushkar Singh Dhami government in Uttarakhand celebrates Harela festival by planting trees. The state began the "Clean City Green City" campaign in Dehradun city. "Tree plantation program is being conducted by the institutions and this program will run for the next one month", said Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
