Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar attacked Bima Bharti, a former member of his party, the Janata Dal (United), who is now a Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate from Purnia. Kumar, mocking Bharti, expressed relief at her departure, stating that she lacked oratory skills and, despite the party’s efforts to teach her, she chose to leave. He went on to say “accha hua bhaag gayi (it was good that she left).” CM Nitish revealed that Bharti had asked him to make her a minister, a request he had denied. He said, “She didn’t know how to speak. We gave her respect in our party, but she ran away. It’s good that she ran away. We taught her, she couldn’t speak. Now she has become a candidate. She used to say make me a minister. We had denied making her a minister.” It should be noted that Bima Bharti recently joined the Rashtriya Janata Dal from the JD(U). She has been made a candidate from Purnia by Lalu Yadav.
