In a disturbing incident in Sadhupeta Centre, Gudur, Tirupati district, a 24-year-old man, Lalthu Kalindi, attacked a head constable with a stick while experiencing a psychotic episode. The attack, captured on CCTV, shows Kalindi striking Constable Swamy Dass from behind while he was on duty. Preliminary investigations revealed that Kalindi, a resident of West Bengal, has a history of becoming violent upon witnessing police uniforms. Dass was initially taken to Gudur Area Hospital and later transferred to Tirupati for advanced treatmentKalindi has been arrested, and a case has been filed against him.
