A man was swept away along with his bike while attempting to cross a swollen stream in Muppalla village, Chandarlapadu mandal, amid heavy rains on Saturday. The man, identified as Darsi Rama Rao from Lakshmipuram, was en route to Nandigama district when the floodwaters overpowered him, dragging both him and his two-wheeler downstream. Rama Rao managed to cling to a tree branch, which ultimately saved his life. Locals and police quickly responded to the emergency, rescuing him from the dangerous waters.
