A 4-year-old girl passed away on Monday, August 28, at the Sion Hospital in the Bhiwandi city of Thane district, following a dog bite. Following surgery and five days of care, she was discharged but later readmitted due to worsening conditions. She was eventually transferred to Sion Hospital, where she tragically passed away. Following the incident, MLA Rais Shaikh slammed BNCMC for the incident and held them accountable for the death of Laiba. Shaikh has called for an FIR to be filed against those responsible, arguing that the girl's death should be treated as murder, not just an accident.
