Ghaziabad: Couple Assaulted by BJP Councillor Sudhir Kumar and His Aides for Asking to Clear Pending Dues, Main Accused Arrested After Videos Surface

In a shocking incident in Ghaziabad, a couple was brutally assaulted allegedly by BJP Councillor Sudhir Kumar and his aides after they demanded the clearance of pending dues. The incident captured in CCTV shows Kumar and his aid assaulting the victims, Sita and Ramu. As per victims report, Kumar demanded a monthly "Goonda tax" of Rs 6000 and enjoyed free purchases from the shop. Following the assault Sita, lodged a complaint with the police on May 20, 2024, detailing the assault on her and her husband in the Mohan Nagar area. Taking cognizance of the matter, the police registered a case, leading to the arrest of Sudhir Kumar, who is now facing legal action.
