In a disturbing incident in Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur, a pregnant woman who was suffering from labour pains had to complete a three-km journey on a muddy, pothole-filled road in an ox cart to reach an ambulance. It is reported that the incident occurred on Sunday, October 26. It is reported that, as the ambulance could not reach the village, 23-year-old Reshma's father-in-law, Krishna Kumar Kewat, laid her on a bullock cart and took her through muddy, pothole-filled roads to reach the ambulance. After reaching Bhaturi, which was outside the village, the pregnant woman found an ambulance and was rushed to a hospital. A video of the incident has also surfaced online. The video shows a man coordinating with someone on the phone and even informing the person that they have been informed on the 108 emergency number for an ambulance.
