During the Rajya Sabha session on August 2, SP MP Jaya Bachchan humorously referred to herself as "Jaya Amitabh Bachchan" while engaging in hilarious banter with House Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, causing the members to burst into laughter. In a viral 41-second clip, Bachchan, addressing House Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, playfully asked, "Sir, Main Jaya Amitabh Bachchan aapse Puchti Hu apko aaj lunch break mila?"  This playful remark followed an incident on July 29 when Bachchan had raised an objection over the use of her husband's name after Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh addressed her as "Shrimati Jaya Amitabh Bachchan."
