Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi engaged in a rather "fun" banter over restrictions on media persons in Parliament. A video of the incident has surfaced on social media. Rahul Gandhi referred to the media as “Bechare media wale (poor media people),” prompting an immediate response from the Birla. “Bechare nahin hai wo (They are not poor thing),” the Speaker interjected. Gandhi quickly corrected himself, saying, “Okay, not bechare media wale (Okay, not poor media people).” ahul Gandhi on Monday requested Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to remove the restrictions imposed on the media within Parliament premises.
