Nagaland Government Formation 2023: From CM Neiphiu Rio To Temjen Imna Along, List of Ministers Who Took Oath Today
As NDPP-BJP coalition has formed government in Nagaland, here's a look at the list of ministers in the cabinet.
Nagaland Government also formed on Tuesday (March 07) with the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, the chief of the all-party government led by the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP). Rio, 72, is becoming the chief minister for the fifth time. The NDPP-BJP coalition led won the majority with 37 seats out of 60 Assembly seats. Here's a list of ministers that have been sworn in the cabinet. Taditui Rangkau Zeliang and Yanthungo Patton take oath as Deputy chief ministers. Nine MLAs, including G Kaito Aye, Jacob Zhimomi, KG Kenye, P Paiwang Konyak, Metsubo Jamir, Temjen Imna Along, CL John, Salhoutuonuo Kruse and P Bashangmongba Chang, have taken oath as cabinet ministers in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Nagaland Governor La Ganesan, BJP President JP Nadda and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma attended the oath-taking ceremony in Kohima.
