Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended Independence Day day greetings and said, "Independence Day greetings to my fellow Indians. Jai Hind!" Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that democracy and the constitution are the biggest shields for 140 crore Indians.
On the occasion of India's 78th Independence Day today, August 15, politicians across party lines took to social media to greet the people of the country. Taking to X (formerly Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended Independence Day day greetings and said, "Independence Day greetings to my fellow Indians. Jai Hind!" Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that democracy and the constitution are the biggest shields for 140 crore Indians. "We will protect it till our last breath," he added. Besides PM Modi and Kharge, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari also extended Independence Day greetings to the countrymen.
