This is in addition to the existing criticism the food delivery platforms get for the price difference between what restaurants charge and what customers pay on these platforms, along with a number of additional charges taken from customers. A social media user recently highlighted this issue by sharing a picture in which he compares a restaurant bill to Zomato's prices. The post claimed that the user's uncle ordered idlis for INR 132 at a restaurant, while on Zomato, the same quantity was for INR 198. Zomato responded by acknowledging the user's concern and requesting the order ID and contact details to investigate further.
