Aruna Tanwar defeated Chinese opponent Chen Tong 13-12 in a close bout to win the bronze medal. Earlier Aruna defeated Iran's Abdoullapour in Quarterfinal bout by 21-4.

India continue their medal-winning run at the Asian Para Games 2023 as this time it was Aruna Tanwar who won a Bronze medal in the Women's Taekwondo K44-47kg category and also achieved the feat of becoming the first ever Indian medallist in the discipline. She defeated Chinese opponent Chen Tong 13-12 in a close bout to win the medal.
