Brazil’s Italo Ferreira Wins First-Ever Surfing Gold Medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020
Ferreira snapped his boat in the final while competing against Kanoa Igarashi from Japan. And despite having to wait for some time for a new surfboard, he won the gold medal, with 15.14 points as compared to Igarashi, who could manage just 6.60. In the women's event, Carissa Moore won the gold medal.
