Despite Bangladesh equalising the series in the second ODI, Afghanistan came back strong and took the series in their favour with a five-wicket victory in the third ODI.
Afghanistan continues their winning run as they secure their third consecutive ODI series victory by defeating Bangladesh 2-1 at home. The series win came on the back of winning the third ODI by 5 wickets at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Bangladesh batted first in the game and posted a competitive score of 244/8. Despite Azmatullah Omarzai's four-wicket haul, Mahmudullah Riyad and Mehidy Hasan Miraz kept fighting and former's knock of 98-runs helped the visitors get to a platform. Chasing it, Rahmanullah Gurbaz played a gritty knock scoring a century and he was well supported by Azmatullah Omarzai who scored a half-century.
