The qualifiers for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 has commenced and the African sub-regional qualifier has started with a bizarre incident. The Gambian team provided a walkover to Rwandan team after arriving late following missing a flight.  The game was awarded to Rwanda without a ball bowled. This is the first T20I match in history to be forfeited.
