Pakistan had to suffer a second heartbreak in two days after their earlier loss to Afghanistan in the semifinal of the event. Bangladesh had lost to India in the semis in what was a one-sided contest but will go back home with the bronze.

Bangladesh defeated Pakistan in a rain-hit contest to win the bronze medal in men's cricket at the Asian Games 2023 on October 7. The contest was reduced to five overs a side when play was halted in the first innings. Pakistan had managed 48/1 at the end of five overs when rain came down and the contest had to be shortened. The target was revised to 65 in five overs and Bangladesh got there on the last ball with Rakibul Hasan hitting a four to seal the win. Asian Games 2023 Medal Tally Latest Updated.
