During the 16th match of the BBL 2025-26 season at the Sydney Showground Stadium, Sydney Thunder opener David Warner flicked a length delivery from young Perth Scorchers pacer Mahli Beardman over deep backward square leg for a six. This aggressive shot was a highlight of the Thunder's batting innings after they were put in to field first by the Scorchers. Warner's innings, however, was cut short when he was caught by Finn Allen off Beardman's bowling, after making a quick impact.
