Rajasthan Royals (RR) won their eighth match of the tournament defeating Luckow Super Giants (LSG) at Ekana Sports City. Captain Sanju Samson (71 runs) and Dhruv Jurel (52 runs) remained unbeaten to help RR successfully chase the target of 197 against LSG. It was young Jurel’s first half-century in the IPL, which he dedicated to his father with a salute celebration. His family later went on the field to congratulate the victorious team and mainly Jurel who played a vital knock with his captain. His father also performed a ‘salute celebration’ while his mother gave him a tight hug for his performance in the match. With the win, they stayed at the top of the IPL 2024 points table.
