When Kane Williamson injured his knee during the IPL, it was initially perceived that he will miss the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. But after months of surgery and recover, he is reportedly set to be included in the Kiwi squad set to be announced on September 11. New Zealand Cricket said that "after injuring his knee playing in the IPL in March, Williamson has made sufficient progress in his recovery to allow him to be included in the squad for the tournament starting in October." Kane is currently in England along with the New Zealand team continuing his rehab.
