Lockie Ferguson bowled the most economical spell in the history of the T20 World Cup, finishing with figures of 3/0 against Papua New Guinea in the NZ vs PNG match on June 17. The right-arm fast bowler bowled with serious pace and troubled the Papua New Guinea batters, with none of them able to score a run off the bat off his bowling. Ferguson also became the first bowler to bowl four maidens in a men's T20I World Cup match. He also surpassed Saad Bin Zafar for the best figures in T20s and the second bowler after him to bowl 24 dot balls. He took the wickets of Assad Vala, Charles Amini and Chad Soper in the match.
