The youngster, deemed as one of the brightest prospects, was travelling to Lucknow from Azamgarh when the car they were in lost control and struck a divider, causing the accident. Musheer Khan was admitted to a hospital in Lucknow after the accident. In a video shared on his official Instagram handle, the young cricketer thanked fans and well-wishers for praying for his recovery. "Nayi zindagi mili," (got a new life), he said in the clip. The video also featured his father Naushad Khan who also thanked the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
