Naseem Shah Stars Again With the Bat in Last Over Thriller As Pakistan Secure One-Wicket Victory Over Afghanistan in 2nd ODI
Naseem Shah does it again with the bat against Afghanistan pulling off an one-wicket victory in the last over and bagging the series 2-0.
A nail-biting thriller in the second ODI between Pakistan and Afghanistan saw Pakistan edge past the hosts by only one wicket thanks to the heroics with the bat by Naseem Shah. Afghanistan batted first and set a target of 301 with Rahmanullah Gurbaz (151) and Ibrahim Zadran (80) starring with the bat. During the chase, Pakistan started well but lost their way in the middle nearing a close finish, Shadab Khan was striking well but was controversially dismissed by mankading attempted by Fazalhaq Farooqi. 11 runs was needed in the final over and Naseem Shah held his calm to take Pakistan over the finishing line. With this win Pakistan have taken a unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
