Choosing to bat first, defending champions Oval Invincibles scored 147 runs off 100 balls. Will Jacks set the tone with 37 from 22 balls at the top of the order for the Invincibles. Sam Curran and Jordan Cox both contributed with valuable knocks of 25 and Tom Curran added 24 from 11 balls late in the innings. Chasing the 148-run target, Southern Brave made a solid start. Alex Davies matched Jacks’ aggressive batting but after his wicket, Invincibles took control of the game.
