Pat Cummins Takes His Second Consecutive Hat-Trick, Achieves Feat During AFG vs AUS ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Super Eight Match
The Australian pacer scripted this incredible achievement by dismissing Rashid Khan, Karim Janat and Gulbadin Naib off consecutive deliveries which he bowled during the match. Pat Cummins earlier had become the second Australian bowler to take a hat-trick in T20 World Cups when he had taken three wickets in three balls against Bangladesh.
Taking one hat-trick is, in itself, a big achievement, and Pat Cummins has done it on consecutive occasions, achieving the feat during the Afghanistan vs Australia match in the ICC T20 World Cup in 2024. Cummins dismissed Rashid Khan on the last ball of the 18th over and then accounted for Karim Janat and Gulbadin Naib with his first two deliveries of the 20th over to script this incredible achievement. Cummins finished with figures of 3/28. This was after he had taken a hat-trick in Australia's win over Bangladesh in their last match.
