Ravichandran Ashwin offered to give his match ball, with which he scalped five wickets, to his daughters as a gift on the occasion of National Daughters Day after the IND vs BAN 1st Test 2024. Ashwin starred with both bat and ball as the Indian national cricket team defeated the Bangladesh national cricket team by 280 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series. While speaking to his daughters after the match, he said he would give them the ball to which one of them replied, "No!". Ashwin then went on to have a conversation with his wife Prithi Narayanan who lauded him for his century and five-wicket haul.
