Shashi Tharoor Questions Exclusion of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma From India's ODI and T20I Squads For the Tour of Sri Lanka (See Post)
Surprisingly, Sanju Samson was not selected in the ODI squad and Abhishek Sharma was not selected for the T20s. Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor questioned the non-selection of the duo.
BCCI have announced the T20I and ODI squads of Team India which is going to tour Sri Lanka under the newly appointed coach Gautam Gambhir. Suryakumar Yadav was appointed the new T20I captain. Rohit Sharma to continue as ODI captain. Shubman Gill was appointed vice-captain in both formats. Surprisingly, Sanju Samson was not selected in the ODI squad and Abhishek Sharma was not selected for the T20s. Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor questioned the non-selection of the duo citing Sanju's century in the last ODI he played and Abhishek's century in the recent India vs Zimbabwe T20I series. He further added in his post, 'Rarely has success in India colours mattered so little to the selectors!'.
